To help you facilitate your own personal revolution.

I'm a second-generation woman entrepreneur and executive coach who has spent more than two decades helping business professionals and leaders unlock their true potential.

I launched Starla West International in 2009 after a career in the corporate world made one thing undeniably clear: most people are operating far below their potential, not because they lack talent, but because they've never had anyone help them see themselves clearly. 

That's where I come in.

I help business professionals and leaders deepen their self-awareness, master their emotional intelligence, elevate their leadership presence, and move forward with the kind of clarity and confidence that makes everything else easier.

And now, I also support individuals who are walking a deeper path, including those called to or returning from plant medicine journeys, who need a thoughtful, grounded guide to help them make sense of what they've experienced and integrate it into real, lasting change.

My approach is customized for you. No two clients are the same, and no two engagements look alike. What I bring is a relentless commitment to your growth and a comprehensive set of tools I've personally explored, mastered, and then brought into my work.

I believe the most powerful changes in life aren't reactive. They're intentional. I've learned firsthand that you cannot be a true force for change in your work, your relationships, or your world if you are still being controlled by your emotional triggers or anyone else's. The work of becoming who you are meant to be starts with learning to lead from clarity, not from chaos.

You can powerfully influence how the world perceives and responds to you. You have agency over your behavior, your decisions, and the direction of your life. That's not a motivational tagline. That's a truth I've watched transform people's lives again and again, including my own.

I believe our most significant growth comes from facing challenges head-on and working through them. The difficult chapters of your life are not detours. They are the curriculum. I've walked that path myself, and I bring that earned understanding into every coaching relationship.

Excelling professionally and evolving personally are not separate pursuits. The most effective leaders I know are also the most self-aware humans I know. When you do the inner work, the outer results follow. Every time.

Everything I bring to our work together, I've explored in my own life first. Not because I have all the answers, but because I believe the most trustworthy guide is one who has walked the terrain and is still walking it.

I don't bring tools and frameworks to my clients that I haven't explored myself first. That's just who I am. I'm a natural-born researcher and a deep thinker. Before something earns a place in my coaching practice, I've lived with it, interrogated it, and tested it against my own life.


Here's a window into some of what that exploration has looked like.


I've studied my own behavioral wiring through the lens of DiSC, the Predictive Index, and Gallup's StrengthsFinder. I know exactly how I'm built to lead, communicate, and influence others because I've spent years learning that blueprint and understanding where its edges are.


I've worked with Richard Rudd's Gene Keys, a depth system rooted in the I Ching, human genetics, and astrology. What I found there confirmed what I've always sensed about myself: I'm here to bring revolution into the world, not through reaction or outrage, but through calm, clear, purposeful change. I'm here to make life easier for others through precise, well-placed words and a gift for getting to the heart of things.

I've explored Human Design, which categorizes how you're energetically built to make decisions and move through life. As a Generator with a 3/6 profile and sacral authority, I'm here to respond rather than initiate, to trust my gut above all else, and to lead from embodied wisdom rather than mental strategy. The 3/6 profile means I've learned through trial and error and through living, and that those experiences are exactly what I'm designed to share with others.

I was born under an Aquarius Sun, with a Capricorn Rising and a Taurus Moon. I'm not an astrologer, and I'm not here to read your chart. But I've come to appreciate how that combination shows up in me: the Aquarian drive to question convention and champion the individual, tempered by a Capricorn-rising need for structure and credibility, grounded by a Taurus Moon that roots me in the sensory, the practical, and the quietly stubborn pursuit of what actually works.

I also carry my own experience with plant medicine. It is now a part of who I am and a part of my story, and I don't separate it from the work I do. Plant medicine opened doors of perception and self-understanding that I hadn't been able to reach through any other means. It deepened my capacity for presence, expanded my compassion, and brought a new layer of clarity to my purpose. That's why I now offer Plant Medicine Integration Coaching to clients who are walking a similar path and need a grounded, experienced guide to help them translate what they've encountered into real, embodied change.

I am still learning. Still growing. Still evolving. And that's exactly the point.

Capitalizing on them requires perseverance and resilience, and I've dedicated my life's work to helping others strengthen both.
