If you have people or entities in your life trying to tell you what to think and how to behave right now…

Remember that a wise man once said...
If your beliefs ultimately become your destiny, then it is in your best interest to maintain full control of them.

You are not obligated in any way to relinquish control of your beliefs, thoughts, words, actions, habits, and values to anyone else.

That said, there's very little at risk and much to be gained when you open yourself up to the experiences and perspectives of others.

Doing so provides additional insight and information you can use to better inform your decision making.

You raise your IQ and enhance your EQ when you ask questions and listen to others while seeking to truly understand the life experiences that drive their beliefs, perspectives, and actions.

Seeking to understand does not mean you have to accept or agree with what you are hearing.

It simply means you are choosing to employ thought and intellect to better comprehend on an intellectual level why others might think and feel (and therefore behave) differently than you.

In the end, you still own your decision making which means you reserve the right to decide what will and will not influence your thoughts and behaviors.

And quite frankly…this isn't just a right, it’s a responsibility.
